Key Figures

Leader of the oath-takers

Archdeacon Thomas Parambil (Thomas de Campo)

Archdeacon of All India and de-facto leader of the Saint Thomas Christians at the time of the oath. He convened the gathering at Mattanchery and would later be irregularly consecrated bishop at Alangad.

Padroado Archbishop of Cranganore

Archbishop Francisco Garcia, S.J.

Syriac prelate from the East

Mar Ahatallah

Fr. Joseph Sebastiani, O.C.D.
